HP 3COM Fast Etherlink 3CC-TX PCI NIC (pack of 10)
And you can buy them for next to nothing. For PCI desktops I like the Intel and based 3co because, well, I bought a bunch of them on Ebay for cheap a few years ago.
Therefore, I have a strong preference for anything that has built-in drivers with the OS. The other options come up as unsupported.

Worked like a charm. The Dos drivers for this card are also wn98 updated with the latest official Intel Last edited by tayyare on Wednesday, July 24, 1: Funny you should mention the 3Com 3CTX. I suspect the driver is actually an XP driver, as that was the last OS to natively support the 3C Its part of the drivers in the OS.

One negative I’ve encountered is that the linux driver for the x doesn’t seem to support all of it’s WOL modes.
