What is unique about the KN1 and other non-mainstream notebooks is the ease of access to components like the processor and graphics card. The touchpad and scroller have excellent sensitivity and precision. You can really see the difference when my old 2-inch-thick Toshiba is placed atop it:.

The fan is quiet at its lowest speed, notbeook is hardly noticeable except in a completely quiet room.
